I'm not one of the Art Bell/tin foil hat types, but common sense tells me there's very possibly some criminal connection between all of the recent airport power outages.

"...common sense tells me there's very possibly some criminal connection between all of the recent airport power outages."

Power outages of over an hour are quite common in many parts of Boston and are due to NStar not having an adequate electrical network in the city. We get 3 to 5 such outages a month in my neighborhood. Part of the joy of living in a "world class city"!

No criminal activity... unless you consider NStar's track record "criminal".

The only thing criminal is leaving the power grid in the control of a pack of dimwits like Nstar. They don't have the combined intellectual wattage to light a christmas tree bulb, and yet they are tasked with providing power to our airports. My home base LWM suffered a power outage while I was doing pattern work in my Cessna and we lost everything- runway lights, tower beacon, the whole deal. The controller had his radios on battery power, so I was able to land there.

Nstar really needs to get some encouragement from the state government to upgrade their network.

Channel 7 (the station that supplied the report) said that baggage was also being screened in the other terminals.

Starrion, it's a small world after all. I live about 3-4 miles from LWM and am next to the airport quite a bit (after all, Butcher Boy is right there)...yesterday, when I was driving on Sutton Street, I could have sworn I saw either a J-31 or a Metro parked at one of the hangars...either Eagle East or Four Star)...I might go and check that out later today...
