Aviation High

Tue Jul 06, 2004 11:20 pm

I heard that there was an aviation high school in New York City. Does this school specialize in Aviation or is it a regular high school that is just named "Aviation". Also, if this high school does specialize in Aviation, what oppurtunities are there after graduation

If you ride the 7 train (subway) towards Queens you'll go right by this school. I've been by it dozens of times. It's on the south side of the subway, just before you get to Jackson Heights, as I recall, not too far from LGA.

I'm sorry I don't know anything about it. I've always wondered what type of curriculm they have. It's a rather impressive building.

I work with quite a few engineers who graduated from Aviation High School here in Queens. Students can graduate with their A&P - from speaking with colleagues, I'd recommend this school if you're really interested in aviation.
