AirTran - CAK To TPA

Fri Jul 09, 2004 5:05 pm

AirTran Airways has added a N/S flight from CAK-TPA starting on 11/8.

CAK-TPA - 12:20p - 2:40p
TPA-CAK - 3:20p-5:35p

Now where is my FLL-CAK N/S?

Yep, it's been going on since last fall. It was originally going to be Saturdays only, but proved so popular that FL made it a daily service before the first flight ever operated.

I don't think you'll see CAK-FLL anytime soon. There used to be a CAK-ATL-FLL direct, but it's been dropped. According to my sources at CAK, the CAK market tends to be heavy on originating traffic. In other words, the majority of people using the airport (approx 60-65%) live in NE Ohio. NE Ohioans tend to go to the Gulf Coast, not the Atlantic side. A N/S CAK-RSW would likely be a better choice than CAK-FLL.
