Does Boeing Have Any Plans To Extend The 757?

Tue Jul 13, 2004 10:48 am

Does Boeing have any planes to further extend the 757? Honestly I cannot imagine the seven five getting any longer.

Considering the 757 line is shutting down, I'd say no.

Scotty,
Boeing announced the discontinuation of the 757 line quite a while back. Here is one of the articles:

Dually, if you do a search on a.net in the civ av archives you'll find loads of stuff on the subject. Surely someone who just made his 6000th post today would have known about this and/or could figure that question out by himself.

Scotty - that's pretty old news, I'm surprised you missed it:

We saw the last 757 on the line a couple of weeks ago. The fuselage was not yet assembled, but there it was. Hopefully Boeing has a plan to use the space at the plant where they have built everything from B-29's to 707's and Pegasus class Hydrofoils.
