July 18, 2004
Airbus parent EADS expects to top 305 airliner deliveries in 2004 and foresees rises beyond which the planemaker would have to increase production next year, EADS co-chief executive Philippe Camus told reporters.

"We are expecting to deliver more in 2004 than in 2003," Camus said on Saturday at a meeting with reporters ahead of the Farnborough air show, which opens near London on Monday.

"We have good signs of recovery in commercial aircraft... We do expect to increase production in 2005," he said, adding that Airbus would be increasing output of single-aisle planes such as the A320 as well as of more expensive wide-bodied planes such as the A340.
