15 Years Ago: United 232

Tue Jul 20, 2004 10:20 am

Just wanted to say that today is the fifteenth anniversary of the United 232 accident in Sioux City, Iowa.

Thought that the 112 that didn't survive deserve remembrance, and the 184 that survived, including the heroic flight crew, deserve praise and recognition for what they did that day.

Hard to believe it has been this long, seems like only yesterday. Let us not forget the Captain Haynes who did an unbelievable job as well as the souls that did not make it.

Hey that guy with the private jet can bail us out! Why? HE CAN AFFORD IT!

Wow.. This was the FIRST July 19th that almost went completely by without me remembering the anniversary of the crash.. Hard to believe it was 15 years ago that all the news networks were showing the video of the flight cartwheeling and breaking apart at SUX. Tremendous admiration to the flight crew AND the Emergency Response Team for the amount of lives they saved that day..
