Air NZ To Play Key Role In The Design Of The B7E7

Air New Zealand engineers are going to play a key role in the future development of one of the world's most controversial commercial aircraft. Concerns have been raied at how easy it could be to damange part of the new B7E7 due to the carbon fibre composite that will be used in its design. Air New Zealand has been asked to help investagate ways to repair any damage.

I presumne they will be also working with ANA engineers?

All potential airlines play a role in defining the (final technical) specifications of the 7E7, just like how Boeing worked closely with other potential airlines for the 777 right from the start. It's not uncommon the last few years that aircraft manufacturers work very closely with airlines from the starting phase of an aircraft's design.
