What do you think is the best way to get to RAP in the middle of October.

If your namesake has anything to do with your origin, you don't really have much of a choice if you want to keep it as hassle free as possible.

But, that said, Northwest is probably still the best choice.

If this were 1981.......
You could hop on Frontier Airlines flight 286....leaves Grand Forks at 1554, arrives Rapid City at 1635, with a quick stop in Fargo....

OR, (my second wise-ass response)

Don't ask an NW flightcrew, cause they don't know EITHER! And whatever you do, do not, I repeat, do not raise your windowshade.
(I know, a cheapshot, just couldn't resist!)

On my way back from Laughlin I drove to the Canyon then I went North to Rushmore and then through Rapid city and then East all the way back to NY. I have booked UA to RAP from LGA this September and I think it's a good route for the money $400. I fly to Denver and then take a puddle jumper to RAP. I love it!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
Hey that guy with the private jet can bail us out! Why? HE CAN AFFORD IT!

Without a doubt:

On a round-trip ticket!

(rimshot)

Sorry, couldn't resist.
Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.

UNDAEROSPACE:

Is this for a long x/c flight?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy IF it is, look in your TCO. Its got all a bunch of suggested routings.

NW will get you to Rapid City, it just may be a LONG walk to the rental car counter... Big grin TC

P.S.--I don't care if it's a cheap shot or not, there's no excuse for landing at the wrong airport when you have a moving map on the EFIS!
