MEX-CUN. Which Airline?

Fri Jul 23, 2004 6:01 am

I am planning a short spotting trip to Mexico in October 2004. Can anyone tell me the best airline option to use for a one way flight from Mexico City to Cancun. Are there any LCC's that I could consider? It seems that the only flights offered by the likes of Expedia are by AM, MX or Aviacsa but they seem expensive! I am able to book "Open-Jaw" flights from UK via ORD to MX), Mexico">MEX, returning from CUN on AA which I would like to do, therefore my requirement within Mexico would be a one-way only.
Thanks in anticipation!

You should be able to find a reasonable fare on Azteca or Aviacsa but that´s not always the case, in general flying inside Mexico is expensive, still I suggest that you go direct to Aeromexico.com and Mexicana.com because sometimes you can find nice deals there.

Enjoy Mexico!

I think ZE (Azteca) may give you the best fares. I would try them, especially if you don't care so much for the miles.
Next flights: MEX-LAX AM 738, LAX-PVG DL 77L, SHA-PEK CA 789, PEK-PVG CA A332, PVG-ORD MU 77W, ORD-MEX AM 738

If you are into spotting book Aviacsa's flight 209. It runs daily departing out of Mexico City at 10:40am (1540 GMT) arriving to CUN at 12:40 pm. The best of all is that it is operated by a smiley, smart-looking 727-200 with winglets. all others offer boring 737s, MDs and Airbuses...

Can you resist this? :

NEXtime,

For sure best fares you'll be able to find will be from Azteca, Aviacsa or Magnicharters.
