United First Class Arrivals Lounge (Int'l)

Fri Jul 23, 2004 6:56 pm

On a recent jaunt to LHR, I used UA's first class Arrivals lounge. I didn't waste much time there...just stopped long enough to shower and change clothes.

Has anyone had experience with UA's other Arrivals lounges? I was under the impression that some of them offered beds among other amenities?

The suite I had was more than adequate...just a nice marble bathroom with shower, robe, etc. Certainly makes for a nice transition after a 12 hour flight.

As nice as UA's Arrivals lounge was at Heathrow, I'd be curious to see Virgin or Singapore Airlines' lounges for F-class pax.

I love America. I guess that makes me Bush's poodle, but I'd rather be a dog in New York City than a prince in Riyadh.

UA is toning these lounges down, they use to have better amenities, but never beds that I know of. They have eliminated ARRIVALS in Sydney ( they used a hotel). After a 14 hour flight, arriving at 6 AM, why did they drop this ARRIVALS?

Singapore has a great one in Singapore, but I do not think anywhere else. Not in SYD or LHR.

They are a great thing upon arrival!
