Aloha Or Hawaiian?

What airline do you like better, Aloha Airlines or Hawaiian Air?

I prefer Aloha because the B737 is bigger than the DC9, it serves more destinations in Hawaii, and it seems to be run better than Hawaiian. Plus, Aloha does carry 60% of Hawaii's traffic.

Both Aloha and Hawaiian are really great local airlines that serve the citizens of our fiftieth state very well. Interisland.. both the same. Service.. both the same. Aloha spirit.. Hawaiian. On time ehhhh, Aloha. Newest A/C..Aloha (for now). Anyway you look at it, if you fly interisland you really have no choice. Halohaiian!

Actually, Hawaiian's DC-9-50s are bigger than Aloha's B737-200s...

For now, I prefer Aloha Airlines. I trust Aloha's 737s more than I trust Hawaiian's DC-10s and DC-9s. I'd say that Aloha's 737-200s are about the same age as Hawaiian's DC-9s, but Aloha's 737-700s are a whole lot newer than Hawaiian's DC-10s. I'm not bashing the DC-10s though because it is a great aircraft. But I feel more safe flying on a new generation aircraft. No offense Hawaiian!

My preference is Hawaiian. In my experience the seat pitch on Aloha's 737-200s is very tight. Also Hawaiian works better for me because when I'm travelling between Hawaii and the mainland they generally have the best deal combining the interisland and HNL-LAX flight. Also I prefer DC-9s over 737s, given a choice.

I prefer Hawaiian. Their DC-9s have more legroom and a more attractive interior. Aloha's 737s have such a tight seat pitch that I had trouble getting my small carry-on bag under the seat in front of me. It wouldn't go between the front of the seat cushion and the seatback in front of me without a strong push. This has never happened on any other airline. And the seats on the 737-200Cs are on pallets and are too high for the windows. Hawaiian is much more comfortable.

I flew on Aloha last christmas, and I noticed their planes were real dirty on the inside, my seat was broken and it felt like it was about to fall backwards and it was small, I also flew Hawaiian from LAX-HNL and their service was great, the plane was clean and the flight attendants were nice. On the flight back to the mainland on Hawaiian the flight I as supposed to be on didnt leave until 10:45 so they offered to put me on the earlier flight for free, but when we got on the plane there was a problem so they gave us complimentary headphones for the wait, which I thought was nice. I really wish they would update those headphones if they could cause those tube headphones sound like crap.

I mean Aloha's 737s are bigger than Hawaiian's DC9s in terms of WIDTH. Sorry! Plus, Aloha has spaced out the seating more in the last year.
