Airliner Record With Service On Airlines

Wed Jul 28, 2004 1:02 am

Hi,

Maybe the topic is a bit confusing. Sorry about that, but what I wanted to put couldn't fit!

My question is: which do you think or know is the airliner that has seen service with the most airlines? I can think of the 727, which was in service for most major airlines and is still in service with a potential number of little airlines!

Or maybe the 737 or DC-3? I'm just curious! Anyway anyone can help with data or clues? Thanks!

Saludos!

The Boeing 737 has had 5440 orders, whereas the 727 has had "only" 1831 orders. As far as I know, the DC-3 was built around 15,000 times - mainly because of the second World War.

Thank you Phaeton, but maybe I did not make myself clear...

My question is which airliner has seen the most color schemes, how many airlines has the 727 served? How many has the 737 served?

Maybe this is a better way to put the question and for anyone to help me!

Cheers!
