Upgrades With Elite Status

Thu Jul 29, 2004 7:38 am

I just got Gold on AA and my understanding was that you would then earn upgrades based on mileage. Yet after my first rev trip on AA being Gold I got the miles posted but no upgrades earned.

I havent been able to find much info on AA's website about it so if someone wouldnt mind telling me I would appreciate it.

Perhaps the section marked "Upgrades" wasn't clear enough.

American Airlines automatically credits your upgrade account with four 500-mile electronic upgrades for every 10,000 qualifying base miles you earn

Go to http://www.flyertalk.com and go to the AA portion of the site. Read the duscussion forum and you'll find your answer there.
Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!
