Redwing Airways

Thu Jul 29, 2004 2:20 pm

Has anyone heard of this airline: Redwing Airways?????

They are flying a DC9 into here at 3:30am (!) from Yuma, Arizona (podunkville). What is this all about? There are no pictures of Redwing on here and i cant find anything on them. if its a charter i can't see why because there isn't much to do in Yuma, AZ.

The guys here in Detroit have been kicking that around lately. They fly into YIP a lot. We traced the callsign to C & M Airways which is based in Texas. They have the DC-9 and about 5 or 6 CV-640s all freighters. In most cases their flight number will tell which aircraft is operating the flight. For example flight 417 is operated by CV-640 N3417. Most of the Convairs are in ex Zantop colors and don't have titles.
