Both checked bags may be no more than 62 linear inches or 50 lbs. unless they are assertive devices for an ADA-protected customer or an item that is otherwise charged a handling fee (i.e. a bike).
Some agents are liberal, but if the scale shows that a bag is over by more than 3-4 pounds, I'll present the customer with their options (to include paying the very reasonable $25 fee). As you know, at C8
we are the rampers; I think this makes us more apt to strictly enforce the rules pertaining to baggage weight.
