One thing is for sure... cargo airline would never join pax alliance - why would they? Well, on the other hand, even the freighters have jumpseats or 747F's even some real passenger seats on the upperdeck
StarAlliance, OneWorld, SkyTeam etc... are pure pax alliances - nothing to do with cargo! None of the StarAlliance airlines freighter carries the StarAlliance logo (as far as I'm aware) but the SkyTeam Freighters carry the SkyTeamCargo sticker.

. In skyTeamCargo all airlines have the same product names (adopted from Air France Cargo) for their different products. In already mentioned WOW, the four cargo carries have kept their own product names.
Idea of a cargo alliance is more or less like the idea of pax alliances... to optimize route network within the airlines and offer added value to the customers.
In cargo world you don't have anything like FF
programs where you can get your points no matter what alliance airline you fly. Though most of the cargo airlines will offer their best customers special prices etc. as a bonus for commitment - also different kind of partnership programs with customers exists. These "bonuses" can be marketed as an alliance or individual airline - same as in pax alliances.
Many of the cargo airlines also have good partners outside in their alliance, sometimes even from the competing alliance! If there is a deal two cargo carriers can make for example to share one freighter in route where one company alone couldn't fill the flight or experienced cargo carrier to take over complete cargo capacity of an airline who isn't putting much efforts to it's cargo operations e.g. Lufthansa Cargo taking over StarAlliance member US Airways belly capacity for cargo http://www.usairways.com/cargo/about/US_&_LH

I also highly doubt that any of the integrators (FedEx, UPS, DHL, TNT) would ever join an alliance, they don't really need and their "courier business" is much different from "cargo business". Then again, Lufthansa Cargo is extensively using DHL's European network and DHL is using LH
flights on several international routes. Also KLM Cargo has some kind of co-operation with TNT.
