My parents are interested in taking a trip to St. John (staying at the Westin) at the end of next March for next week, and as usual, I started to research some fares from EWR
to STT on CO
. On their one daily nonstop flight, departing March 26th returning April 2nd, the fares are pricing out at $746.50! When you multiply that by four people, it gets very expensive. I could understand if that was the fare for a flight to Europe or Hawaii, but for a four-hour flight, it seems ridiculous. AA
is $150 cheaper for their nonstop out of JFK
, and connections through SJU
are cheaper still at ~$500. However, a connection with 9K
prices out at $753! Why are Caribbean prices on CO
so ridiculously expensive? Every single market that I look up from EWR
to the Caribbean for those dates is at least
$675 or more per person.
Will the fares always remain this high? Can anyone explain why they are so expensive?
