Looks great to me, an A319 in such a nice color livery.

What will be it's first destination as regular pax flight?

I think it looks quite boring. SA 738s look much better!  Big grin

There is something quite weird about that plane.

Did anyone notice that the A319 logo was moved up due to registration being there?

When SAA first had the 346s they scheduled them on the JNB-CPT-JNB runs for some time - perhaps something similar is planned for the 319s?

Nice livery  Smile/happy/getting dizzy On a side note, does anyone know what's up with SA's plans to acquire/lease the A380? Is SA still interested in the A380? I heard the CEO of SA was or will resign? Does this have any effect on the A380 decision?

I like it but I think they should have painted the winglets with color (like MX does).

The first scheduled service that I can pick up using flysaa.com is on 2 Sept 2004.

The aircraft will operate 4 return flights between Jo'burg and Durban that day.

I doubt it... they've had the A320 in scheduled service before, so probably no need for proving runs.

Is SA still interested in the A380?

I have it on very good authority that they are, but are waiting for more information. Its wise to watch and wait.

SA is very much interested in acquiring A380s, if just for the LHR routes. They are very busy and make a lot of money which is the main reason they have been keeping the 744s. Operating A380s instead would make sense particularly at LHR where slots are hard to come by.
