Is There An Echo In Here - Song To Fly JFK-NAS

Tue Aug 03, 2004 11:27 pm

Did JetBlue find out about Song's plans and beat them to the punch, or is this a sad attempt by Song to mimic JetBlue? Discuss...

Once, just once, I'd like to see one of these "Airlines within an Airline" do something FIRST!

Yep!! This is very good news for Song and expand more new international flight to NAS. IT make response with jetBlue is service to NAS goes on Nov 1, 2004. It is competitive with their flight. Yes, they already announcment for service from NAS today.

Undoubtedly JetBlue and Song are competing with each other, but I wonder which airline thought of the route first - any ideas?  Big grin

looks like B6 beat them to it. However, song does not have to apply for government approval (not saying that B6 won't recieve approval), so they could have just added it today or had it in mind for a while.

I think Song might be making a last attempt to fight B6.
Currently, DL does not operate JFK-NAS, but they do operate LGA-NAS, will that be canceled?

I love the thread title!

I might be a little bias - but I will attempt not to be. JetBlue did file its interest for authority to operate service to Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Bahamas and Canada some time ago.

In all honesty, DL has been operating LGA-NAS with a 757 daily and will continue to do so PLUS a second weekend 757 in addition to new Song service for JFK - so naturally I think this is just a market evolution.

Incumbet DL (and US and AA - just entered nonstop NYC market), entrant JetBlue, response Song + additional mainline for competitive reasons.

Songs fares starting as low as $139... I believe JetBlue pricing would be a little lower.

That's correct for DL is already service from LGA-NAS. No, it will not make cancelled with their flight, either. They decide to make keep them with their flight.
