Aerocontinente's New Web Page

Sun Aug 08, 2004 10:44 pm

Since Aerocontinente Peru was banned to fly into the U.S., they relaunch a new web page. I must admit that it's quite good, friendly and even better than other web pages of major airlines.

Taca: de vuelta?

New website looks much more serious than the N6 one. This aircraft on the top right will be the new livery?

De vuelta Arcano  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I bet it will be the new livery. Unfortunately the picture is not so clear.

Apparently will carry the Peruvian flag colors.

I found following informations:
AIR TRAFFIC RESUMES IN PERUVIAN SKIES
As of Friday, July 23rd, AeroContinente, the airline with the greatest number of flights and destinations on Peruvian territory, resumed operations under the name of Nuevo Continente, thus putting an end to an air transportation problem that lasted 15 days.
It should be noted that the suspension of AeroContinente’s operations led the other companies operating in Peru to increase their frequencies and routes. The companies have overcome the shortage of 3500 sales per day left by AeroContinente, as they managed to provide up to 4200 seats.
Peru, a welcoming destination with one of the most varied tourism supplies in the world, offers tourists safety, accessibility and high levels of satisfaction.

Does this mean, that Aerocontinente operates now under the name of Nuevo Continente?

Swissgable:

Indeed, Aerocontinente's owners, the Zevallos siblings internationally accused of money laundry, sold the airline and the new brand is Nuevo Continente ("New Continent" in English).

So, Nuevo Continente is intended to be a new airline for Peru.

Anyone notice that the aircraft pictured on the website is an A320? Could this be a sign of things to come? And I still hate N6, thanks to one horrible experience with them, but that's another story.

I tend to agree with you OB1504.

It definitely is an A320. But they don't have A320 in their fleet... sounds crazy.
