Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, a "Major Hub"
For those of you who don't know, Walnut Ridge is a small town just north of Jonesboro, with a population of less than 10,000, and a Mayor who should really look into fixing the water supply before he tries to improve the airport, which right now has no commercial service.
To quote the Jonesboro Sun: "The Mayor also sees it as a potential hub of activities with spokes leading to many parts of the nation-even other parts of the globe."
Right now the only thing happening at the airport is a small salvage operation which has started work on a couple WN 732s, and the recent round of CO MD-80s that have been scrapped.
What would make this guy think that a town of less than 10,000 people can support a global hub???
