Why Is Aeromexico Getting Rid Of Their 757

Wed Aug 11, 2004 1:09 pm

I have noticed that aeromexico has started to get rid of their 757s I know that eventually they will be replaced by 737-800/900 but I haven't heard aeromexico ordering those planes, so my question is which plane will replace the 757s in the near future?

Daily average hours of usage in the Dc9s was from 08 to 10 hours (when they had 17 Dc9s). Daily average hours of usage of B737-700W is from 15 hours.

Also the MD80s have a high average of usage same for B767s... so mainly 757 routes will now be flown with MD87s/80s/737s/767s... all aircraft in AM's fleet will do the job!

I know that the Leases on the 757's are very high and they are just not breaking even with the aircraft. Its all about money. I do love the 757's though.

Does AM fly into YVR as the picture implies, or is that a charter flight??
