Question About Spotting At PHX

Wed Aug 11, 2004 11:10 pm

Im going to be going to PHX next week and I e-mailed the airport and was told that spotting was allowed on the top of the terminal three parking area. I was just wondering if anyone knew if you needed to get a pass to be there or if you could just go up and stop and not get hassled please let me know. Thanks
Chris

I go to school out in AZ and during the school year I go over to PHX at least twice a month to spot and take pictures. I normally go to the top of the Terminal 3 or 4 parking garage depending which way the planes are departing. I normally hang out ther anywhere from 5 to 10 hours at a time and no one has ever said anything to me. You should have no problem..

Good Luck and Have Fun!!

I've never had a problem in PHX either, though I have usually been at the Terminal 4 parking garage. Several times I have watched planes from a dirt parking lot off of Airport Way/40th Street on the north side of the airport. A lot of people park there and watch planes. It's a great view of the north runway.
