Kerry's Plane Stuck In EUG...

Fri Aug 13, 2004 2:57 pm

Hey... I'm really bored so I figure I'll share this just super exciting info! (not) John Kerry's TMA 757 missed the turn for the Runway in EUG...and we don't have a big enough tug here, so the aircraft may attempt to use reverse thrust sopposibly... Or else a tug will be brought in from PDX I suppose!

Not a problem...Kerry can overnight in EUG...he'll be right at home with all the ultra-liberals and wackos that make EUG home. Perfect place for him, the more I think about it...

If Bush were stuck there, you'd have mass rioting and protests!
And the winner for best actress is....REESE WITHERSPOON for 'Walk the Line'!!!!!!!!

Sheesh, he waffles b/w trains and planes more than he waffles in congress  Laugh out loud! In any event, I'm sure Kerry will charter another plane if needed.

There are a lot worse places for a liberal to spend the night then Eugene.

For any right thinking centerist, that place would be hell.

I think he meant right-thinking as in "correct or appropriate", not right as in "conservative."

But I believe the word is "Centrist" as in taking ideas from both liberal and conservative.

For instance, a person might be supportive of gay rights but be completely opposed to abortion. Or someone might champion feminist causes but think that environmentalist groups are completely out in left field.

I believe there are a lot of people in the general public like this, but politicians tend not to be because special interest groups tend to team up and scratch each others' backs.

Politicians find it hard to be elected or even nominated running to the right on some issues and to the left on others because they generally need to tow the party line on the vast majority of issues to get properly funded.

Arnold Schwarzenegger tends to be more liberal when it comes to abortion and gay rights, but he tows the Republican party line on defense and fiscal conservatism.
