Is This Really Damascus DAM?

I just saw this photo of DAM airport which doesn't look like the airport I used about 11 or 12 years ago. The terminal in the photo looks very small handling only 4 aircraft when I remember that I was in a really big nice building. I also recall being closer to the residential areas and not a desert as in the photo.

Is it possible that the photographer's upload info is not correct? Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, that is Damascus Int'l, I'm positive.

And that's correct, it only has around 4 or 5 gates with jetways. When they get full during the day, they bus people to the planes parked out in the ramp.

I can confirm...when i fly MEA 707s from BEY to Damascus on Flight Simulator that is exactly what the airport looks like.

OD720 maybe the changed the airport since last you were there?
