British Airways 777

Fri Feb 25, 2000 9:35 am

Can any of you BA buffs out their tell me what the reg # for the 28th 777 is? I know it is a lot to ask but I would like to know, seeing's how I have the tarp that was on that plane. If you don't know what I am talking about meaning tarp, look at the post about "Treasured Aviation Crap." Mine is titled British Airways Tarp.

Thanks

I always thought that the order was:
G-ZZZA --> G-ZZZE ( 5 )
G-RAES (1)
G-VIIA --> G-VIIZ (26)

That would mean no. 28 is G-VIIV right? unless G-VIIX was delivered before G-VIIV. Just curious to know how these registrations work. Please post if you know the answer or if I am off - Thanks.
I've flown on 9V-SPK.

I think that ZZZA was the first, being named Sir Frank Whittle after this aviation pioneer - ZZZC is "Sir William Sefton Branker" I think?

Hi ,

Yes N754PR is a 747-469 operating for Philippine Airlines. I've flown on this aircraft twice.

G-ZZZA is the first 777 of BA but like many new aircraft types the first one in the fleet will not be the first to be delivered. They do more testing then the others.
