CP DC-10s

Fri Aug 20, 2004 5:28 am

Could someone help me figure out were all of Canadians DC-10s went to, when AC took over? I miss those birds so much especially C-GCPC.
Hopefully they are still flying....

Md11dude,

try http://www.airfleets.net

you can input the registration of the aircraft and it tells you the current status.

Alot of them have been broken up or are in the process, I recall seeing some recent pics of several on their bellies.

A couple of them went to Biman IIRC - S2-ADN I believe was one. I had so many great flights on the -10 be it either in the CP Orange colours or CAIL Blue/white. Don't even get me started on how much I miss them...  Smile

FYI, C-GCPD became N541SA and flew for World Airways as a cargo bird before being parked in GYR in DEC of 2003 where she is still.

Best looking DC-10's around in the orange scheme. NW's new livery also makes a not so good looking aircraft, look great as well.

Hi!

Great topic! I remember very well those nice orange birds landing everyday at LIS. It was great to see them when CP Air stopped flying the DC-8's to LIS. CP Air was always a great airline to spot at LIS, when they used the DC-8's I remember well one season before they sold them to see ALL series 40's they had in LIS, everyday it came one different and I also remember seeing the sole 50's series they had, great! Then it was the time of the 63's, also a great sight, arriving in the morning with that long trail of smoke and we knew that CP Air was comming. One rare sight for me in LIS was when CP Air leased some DC-10-10's from United and flew them to LIS, that was very unique!
