I checked my Skyguide, and didn't see any HP 757 departing to LAX, PHX, or LAS....Anyone have any ideas as what the aircaft was doind there?

Also, while I was parked at the Lee Road spotting center, several CO 757's landing over me.........after about 30 seconds, I was greeted by the sound of the vortices the 757 leaves in it's wake. Kind of like a hisssing sound.....Man it was nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe it was America West 27, from IAH-LAX via PHX. It departed from the gate this morning at 8:27 am and was a 757-200.

For that flight, I dont know. I dont see Flight 27 listed for October, when I looked to see. That 8:30 flight is apparently replaced by the 9:07am flight, which is opped by an A320. However, there is sitll a flight around noon that is a 757.

It looks like 757s regularly frequent IAH from HP.

Hope this helps

Thanks JBLU!!!! I appreciate it!!

I'm a Skyguide nut!!!!!

I saw that 757 departing, and thought it didn't look right, but it is!!!! At first I thought it was merely the cheap coffee I was drinking  Smile But as a 757 fan, it was indeed good to see!!

Cheers

Chris

America West operates two daily 757s and 1 daily A320 in both directions with the rest of the flights 737-300 on the IAH-PHX route. The 757s began service on August 8th--currently they operate on an 8:30a and 5:30p run to PHX. On the return they come in from PHX at 4:30p and 10:40pm. I'm actually booked on the outbound A320 at 2:30p on Sept. 4 and returning on the 757 that gets in at 4:30p on Sept 6.
