Who Branded MEA's New Logo?

Mon Aug 30, 2004 2:53 am

Does anybody know which company did the branding for MEA's new logo and colorscheme? What companies other than Landor are there?

Regards,

The other company that I know of is Lila Design: http://www.liladesign.com/

If you really want to know the company that did MEA's branding, you could try contacting the airline.

I'm glad you asked. I have complained about MEA's scheme. I wrote a couple of times to their marketing dept. No response. Anothet time I wrote someone as well (Can't rememeber), but got a response saying the old color reminded people of the war years so they went with multi color. What bull. The blue and green really do not compliment each other. Also read in one of the airline magazines where the writer criticized the desing especially the tail saying the cedar tree looks lost on the tail. I think they should have restylised the original red and white scheme with a waving lebanese flag for the tail, a la BA.

Kamboi,
Unlike you, i think the colorscheme is okay... it's not that great, but it's not bad, at least better than the old one. And btw, i really like the Cedar logo... it looks better than that on the flag itself!

The current MEA colourscheme could use a light modification: better positioned and better readable MEA-titles (other font type) and something more than just the all-over white fuselage. MEA's current livery design has potential to grow to something better. Anyway the Cedar tree on the tailfin must stay (perhaps in another graphic solution). It's the company's symbol for decades and it's Lebanon's national symbol too.
