SkyLink Airways

Sat Sep 04, 2004 6:15 am

Has anyone heard much about this new Low Cost Carrier that is supposed to have service across the pond from either BWI or IAD. I went to their web site but found no information basically.

Thanks!

Looking at STN but a bit flakey. Also had meetings with Ontario (LAX people) about European services (STN and Paris).

Yes, I had heard they are looking at STN. Do you mean their plans are a little bit flakey? Just trying to understand your comment.

Thanks!

SkyLink has applied for authority to operate with the DOT. The Department has responded with several requests for more info, and SkyLink has made several responses. They appear as though they are serious.

This link will take you to the DOT search page. Change the search to "Subject", and type in "SkyLink Airways". You'll find several application and correspondence.

This is a link to their latest response to the DOT. It outlines their A/C selection and their startup timetable. Page 28 is were it gets interesting. You'll need Adobe Acrobat to run this link.

It is amazing what all you can find off the Internet.

I'm reading page 28 right now. What are you talking about when you say it gets interesting on that page? Their selection of aircraft or how they plan to accept them and/or pay for them? I don't understand a lot of this stuff so if you could explain it in greater detail, I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks for the info!

Jay
