I know there aren't any PTVs. They don't even have drop-down monitors, just audio, unfortunately. There might be foot rests, but I don't know for sure.

From the Air Tran Website
"Do you have first class?
Ours is a Business Class any business can afford. You'll get 7 inches more legroom than you would in coach, and a much wider seat too, since our Business Class seating is 2-across, like first class on other airlines. This means plenty of room to open your briefcase and spread out, or to work on your laptop without sharing the information on the screen with the person next to you. In addition to soft drinks and snacks, you receive two complimentary alcoholic beverages.

Business Class upgrades are available in advance at the airport on the day of your flight for $35.00 over the full one-way coach fare for nonstop flights ($50 for Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco) and for $70.00 over the full one-way fare for connecting flights ($85 for Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco). They are not available for use with discounted fares.

Currently, as a special promotion, for the amounts listed above, you may upgrade from any fare class on a first come, first served basis, upon checking in for travel.

Does AirTran Airways provide inflight entertainment?
AirTran Airways has selected XM Satellite Radio as the airline's new inflight entertainment system. With XM Satellite Radio, AirTran Airways will provide its passengers with over 100 digital channels of choice. The service will be free for all passengers and will be available at every seat by the end of 2004."

So according to Air Tran there is no such thing as First Class, its business class.  Laugh out loud

Very true. AirTran doesn't have first class, we have business class. When passengers ask "What do I get in First Class?" I say: "We don't call it First Class because we don't offer meals or entertainment. In Business Class you have 4 inches more width, 7 inches more legroom, free alcoholic beverages, boarding priority as well as more stowage space for carry-ons." We currently do not have XM radio on any planes. I think they're supposed to start adding it by the end of the year.

I was in Airtran Business Class on a 717 a few months ago for my old job, IAD-ATL-DFW. It was alright, the fabric on the seats was a bit, i don't know, just weird for that kind of seat. It was indeed wider than a coach seat, and with a few inches more pitch. Nothing to write home about, but it made the short trip a little bit nicer, and it was for some reason cheaper than the same ticket in coach. I guess they raise prices linearly for business and coach, and more coach tickets had sold than business, so the business class fare was actually less than coach.

Now that i'm based out of SHJ I fly UA/LH intercontinental business class everywhere, that's a little bit different.

Sorry for being a bit off-topic here but are there any pics of the AirTran 737-700 interiors up somewhere?

Ironically enough, these pictures were made possible with the help of Flyer732. Thanx man.

Here is a view of the business class cabin with Leather Seats. This was a very nice plane.
