Air Berlin Man To DUS What A/c?

Sat Sep 04, 2004 11:05 pm

Hi everyone,

The first weekend in November I will be traveeling on the new Air Berlin service to Dusseldorf, can anyone tell me the a/c type that will be used on the service?

Also, are the terraces closed at Dusseldorf in the winter?

Thanks for any info.

Steve.

According to the MAN Airport website, a 737-700 will be used on Friday 5th Nov, and a 737-800 on Saturday 6th Nov and Sunday 7th Nov.

Enjoy.

According to OAG, if you're going on Saturday it's a 737-700 and on Sunday a 737-800.

The roof terraces are open all year. See www.dus.-int.de (I think there should be more informationan available).

Ley us know how it works out. I have my eye on Air Berlin for some European travel next year (I also want to take the trains as well as a ferry across the Adruiatic) and Air Berlin claims to have higher consumer satisfaction than Easy Jet, Virgin Express, Germania, RyanAir, or anyone else for that matter.

Air Berlin's MAN-DUS flights will operate on an F100 Monday-Friday (1540L dep ex MAN) The Saturday flight (0710L dep ex MAN) is scheduled to be either a B737-700 or -800 dependant on who's site you look at, and the Sunday is due to be a B737-800 (2030L dep ex MAN)

Thanks everyone for the replies, should be a good trip, I was bothered that the terrace may be closed in winter?

Kim777fan,

I will let you know how it goes, I have also heard they are a good budget airline with great inflight service, they best be, just booked two more flights with them to DUS.

Cheers folks

"...Air Berlin claims to have higher consumer satisfaction than...Ryanair..."

In July this year, FR received 0.38 complaints per 1,000 customers. That, to me, suggests that the overwhelming majority of passengers are satisfied with FR's service. Not that surprising, really, when it only receives 0.65 baggage complaints (about, say, delayed or lost baggage) per 1,000 customers, and that it is extremely punctual - 91% of all its flights arrived ontime and 99% within one hour* - and reliable. What are Air Berlin's stats? I can't even see them on its website, so so much for transparency. What has it got to hide I wonder?  Wink/being sarcastic
