I have flown Jalways 6 or 7 times between NRT
...YES , all the cockpit crews were lilly white and cabin crews were mostly Thai , with a few Japanese
FAs mixed in..
Seats were old and tight ...no PTVs with AVOD , like on JAL , they call it Magic
Something...meal services , to me , in Y and C , were just as good as JAL...
In Y : always hot towels , drinks with nuts and rice crackers..your typical tray meals , with wines offered ( individual fifths offered )...and upon arrival in BKK
...ice cream bars...From BKK
, I always take the overnite flight : hot towel..drinks with nuts and rice crackers , and upon arrival in NRT
breakfast with condiments , soba , fruits and roll...
I have flown my shares of FC , C and Y on different airlines...I am very impressed with Jalways inflight services...They made rounds and rounds offering hot green tea , hot black tea , coffee and water after serving the meals in Y....For me , by the time I get to NRT
, I was already dead tired..
a quick eat and I'd doze off ...Comparing to a TG
8AM flight I took from BKK
..boy , they were way ahead , no comparisons at all...TG
was so bad , and the flight was completely empty : the "senior " Thai FAs basically did not give a hoot about pax..no smile , no extra personal efforts made at all..it was all so visible and felt !!!
I don't know who would staff the cabin crews for flights from NRT
to Guam, HNL
or any other destinations you would call "touristy"....
