Does anybody have any further news on trhis service, slated for Nov?

Where are the MD11's coming from?
Via what points will KUL-LAX operate?

No M11F with a reasonable payload can complete LAX-HKG nonstop.

Their planned operations to USA (most probably LAX) will definitely be via HKG as they have just been granted the fifth freedom rights. We will have to see but last I heard they dropped their plans for MD11Fs because they cannot afford the cost of conversion. Wonder if there ain't enough MD11Fs in the market? Or already taken up?

Transmile isn't that big of an airline and I do not think they have much capital therefore they have to be careful at their fleet selection.

Perhaps, but neither plane can finish the route nonstop. They'll have to stop over in ANC for fuel.
