Indeed, COPA ordered two additional 737-700s for 2006 and leased one 737-700, and one -800 from 2005.
Nice business model. Their in-cabin service is better than most carriers operating Central/South America for what you pay. I flew MIA
-BAQ, with an intermediate stop in CTG; on the PTY
-CTG leg they offer a sandwich, bag of chips and soda for a 50 minute flight. Nice clean airplanes (the NGs).
The only drawback I found is the layover in PTY
Apart from that, only nice things to say about COPA.
