Mojave Desert Question

Sat Sep 11, 2004 6:44 pm

Hello dear friends

in march, I will be leaving rainy Luxembourg for a 2 weeks trip to Nevada, California and Arizona (and 2 days new York)

I would like to go and visit the Mojave desert air park, with all those planes that are standing there. Who should I contact in advance to get an authorization to enter that area?

is it even allowed(I guess so, regarding all the pics here on airliners.net)

thanks for your help

For MHV, you do not need any reservation or authorization. Just show up at the main office (for more details, do a search on this topic in this forum and the Photography Forum) and they will get a worker to take you out in a van. The cost is only $5 per person, but a little bit more is always nice since it is such a wonderful tour.

For all of the other deserts, your only option is exterior (fence) viewing and photography, unless you happen to know someone there.
