Hi! I don't know if there is any way to locate this info or not, but here is what I am looking for:
Back in the 1970's-mid 1980's there was an accident at Esler Regional Airport (ESF/ KESF) involving a DELTA B727 (or was it DC-9??). They were landing in bad weather (from what I was told), and the A/C touched down around midpoint of the runway (length only about 6000ft). Needless to say, the aircraft did not stop at the end and went off into swampy area off the end of the runway. Luckily, everyone made it without severe injuries.
I am trying to find any info about this that I can find (just to satisfy my curiosity!!). I have went to www.ntsb.gov but have found nothing.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction or provide some info on this???
