All flights of the OS
Group (OS, NG
) are generally shown as "OS" no matter which of the airlines operate the flight.
Previous plans where to integrate the 777 into OS
and to repaint the acft to OS
livery. On the other hand the MD
´s would have moved to NG
colours for charter services.
For the moment they have nothing noted so far regarding this movement or have announced something in this respect.
will be focussed on the leisure segement meaning charter flights and scheduled flights to leisure resorts (like PMI
) - those are indicated with the 9000-series flight numbers.
In addition NG
is serving the Far-East/Indian Ocean/Australian destinations from PVG
south incl DXB
to MRE. On these routes the 777 and 763 are used. Also the entire Caribbean destinations are served by NG
- be it Cancun, Tobago, Cuba, DomRep or Montego Bay.
Cabincrews soon will have almost the same uniform.
group finalised the agreement on the full integration of NG
staff into OS
in respect of their work contracts - meaning that salaries, working hours and conditions is now the same - NG
staff gets higher salaries, OS
staff gets slightly lower salaries (especially the pilots).
So sooner or later you will not see a big difference between OS
will continue to operate under their own operators certificate.
: Altough now operating as "Austrian Arrows" the registered company name remains Tyrolean Airways with headoffice at Innsbruck. VO
continues to operate as such and they also have different working contracts for their staff thus being a 100% daughter company.
For all that - it is for the moment quite complicated - for example the services out of BTS
airport are 100% OS
- but the aircraft/crew for these flights come from NG
Aircraft orders are made by the OS
Group - they have ordered another 737-800 so that 1 738 is delivered in April05 and 1 in Jul05 - the 734´s will go out of service in Oct04 and in Jul05, also the 733 is going out of service in winter 04/05 - meaning the 738 fleet will have 8 acft for the leisure flights. And it also means that NG
remains with Boeing acft (the CRJ´s have been moved to VO
I know ... complicated mixed operation ....
