Does AvCraft Have Any Do 328 Orders?

Thu Sep 16, 2004 4:05 am

I was wondering if Av Craft has any Do328 orders or perhaps is in talks with airlines about getting some orders? Can Anyone fill me in?

In follow up to that, does Delta plan to kep their 328JETS working in their Delta Connection system??

Seems like the 328JET wouldn't have a significant performance advantage over a Q-300 or an Embraer E135 if any. What are the acquisition costs of each approximately and what are the respective CASM's??

In all, is this a viable project for Avcraft or are airlines just not ready for the really small regional jets??

Delta Connection (according to my sources) does not intend on keeping them, rather they will sell them over to Midwest Connect. I believe it was by (2005?) they should have an all jet fleet. I heard (remember, just a rumour) that the B1900Ds are going away.

I hope the 328JET gets lots of orders! It is my favorite aircraft (along with the 717  Big thumbs up)

AvCraft has several orders in its books, and keeps negotiating with several carriers.

Among the orders in the book are Hainan Airlines (another 20 frames) and Club Airways (8+9 IIRC). In addition there are unannounced customers, and all 18 white-tails have been sold, and many new frames.

At the moment they are talking to about 50 customres (~10 airlines, ~10 special mission and ~30 corporate customers) about ~275 328JET. They expect to sign some deals in the coming months for about 40-50 frames. Among the airline customers are well-known names, especially from Asia-Pacific.

question - do they also have the 328-100/110 turboprop still in production? I cant find any good information on internet on this outstanding aircraft. Does anyone have some links? The AvCraft Homepage is not very detailled.

Thanks

No, the 328-100/110/120/130 is no longer in production, at least not at the moment. However, should a large order be recieved for this type it would be possible to restart the production, but it is highly unlikely.

AvCraft instead concentrates on remarketing the parked 328-1X0 fleet, with some success. SUN AIR of Denmark recently signed for 8 frames, and other, mostly private customers but some start-ups, have signed for 1-2 frames each. As far as I know several large campaigns are currently under way in South-East Asia to place considerable numbers of D38 there.
