United Express (Air Wisconsin) CRJs

Thu Sep 16, 2004 2:39 pm

I have a question which I hope the United Express pros on this forum will be able to answer. I flew on Air Wisconsin a few times last year and never got to know for sure are they operating the CRJ 100 or the CRJ 200 or do they have both models of these regional jets? I need this info for my log book and I would be grateful if somebody could help out.

Also, what are the major differences between the two models. Can they be considered the same type of plane or would you say they are quite different.

A search of this site's picturs would probably answer this question for you. Just simply search for pictures of Air Wisconsin....

All of Air Wisconsin's CRJ's are the CRJ-200's.

Check http://www.airlinerlist.com Download the CRJ spreadsheet and you will find all the CRJ's off Air Wisconsin when you use CTRL+F. Type "Air Wisconsin" and they all show up.

To be more specific, Air Wisconsin CRJs are 200LRs.
There are 200ER & 200LR models. It has to do with max. gross weight of the aircraft. 100 models are early models that have lower max. gross weight.
Not sure which 200 model has greater gross weight though.

I don't believe AWAC even has -100s, not positive though.

We have 70 CRJ-200s in the fleet in addition to the 17 BAe-146s. I wish we had some CRJ-700s in the fleet!  Smile
