BTR's been pushing for BTR-CVG for yearrrrs (if not decades)

Good to see them finally achieve it, even if at the expense of DFW.

It will be nice to be able to travel from PNS to the Midwest and Northeast without connecting through ATL. This service has been a long time coming for PNS. Of course, right now the airport isn't even open, but things should be running fine by time the CVG service kicks in.

Didn't Comair used to run a daily flight or two between Mobile and CVG before the downturn? I seem to remember seeing them celebrate a service anniversary on that route in Sky Magazine a few years back.

Or am I thinking of a different route?

You are correct...Comair did fly MOB-CVG before. It was in retaliation when UA launched ORD-MOB and IAD-MOB. The flights lasted about two years until shortly after 9/11.
