If you fly frequently to the states from Europe to the states, CO
's onepass is a good program. In the summer, they often oversell LGW
. As a Gold Elite, I was upgraded to BusinessFirst twice this summer on LGW
when the flight was oversold. Beyond that, if you have connecting flights in the U.S. and are Onepass elite, free unlimited space-available upgrades on both CO
. Also, CO
seems to free up lots of good standard reward seats for its elites...I just managed to snag two return flights from IAH
(Kahului, Maui) for new years for just 70,000 total miles and $10.00 (their online reward calendar feature for bookings is very useful). CO
is also amongst the best in transatlantic Y-class service for U.S. majors.
The only problem I've had with Onepass has come as a result of CO
's entry into skyteam. It's probably just a result of CO
's entry being so recent. When I called the OnePass service center a few days back (after sept 15th, though), no one could tell me what the qualification requirements were on CO
for SkyTeam Elite Plus, and the awards reservations desk had difficulty searching for seats on AirFrance and CSA (as in, she couldn't access any info for those airlines). In all, though, it's a good program.
