Would it be feasable at all for another airline to aquire US? For example, if NW
aquired US, they could have a mini-hub in PHL
with several Europe flights, a focus city in CLT
, and dimantle the rest of the US network. The only aircraft types US has different from NW
are the 737 and 767, delete those and NW
could have sufficient aircraft in the former US fleet to accomplish this.
