Does that mean they're going to eliminate the two 777's between DFW and MIA?

Eeek - I hope not! Those flights are a great way to experience the 777 without having to take an overseas flight in the middle of the night!
How come I can't upload an avatar photo to my profile?

If I'm not mistaken, don't the 777s connect to international destinations. I think one goes to London, UK. They have 777s that go to Sao Paulo but the times don't align.
They run these 777s back and forthe to DFW to give them something to do during the spare time. I think it's kind of like DLs 763s from ATL-Florida-ATL-INTERNATIONAL.

Well it doesnt sound like alot.

"Arpey said Thursday that American Airlines is making cautious plans for 2005, including reducing some midweek and Saturday night flights at its Miami and Dallas hubs respectively. He said American is considering new sources of revenue, including charging for onboard food and renting portable entertainment systems. "

Later in the article is said that with them adding seats back in the aircraft ASM sytem wide would remain about the same.

Certain frequencies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (plus Saturdays at DFW) is most likely. I don't know though, I just don't see the cuts being drastic. They have talked about this before, and didn't do anything. I think doing this is a great cost cutting measure. Continental does it a lot, especially out of CLE. Especially makes sense with the way fuel prices are.

So no more room through out coach, gone on the 757 & A300...next the M80 & 738? What ever is found to be the least cost, it is a good thing and vs. DL, US & UA, better than facing, or working through Bankruptcy having a judge call the shots.
