I don't see anywhere that he was found dead....just the announcement of his death. Anyway, renumbering the reg. numbers is a great idea.

That also explains how they came up with the callsign Air Shuttle.

Re-registering their aircraft is a good idea, and a way to remember their roots....

How sad...I'm sure Mesa was a much better airline under his rule...LOL.

The story I read in today's paper said that he passed after a "short battle with cancer."

It is unfortunate of Mr Risley's passing. I once had a room-mate who was a pilot for Mesa Air when it was under his control. My friend said that
Risley always said all pilots are cut from the same tu*d", and deserved less than what they thought they were entitled.
