Russia Jet Direct will start weekly B737-800 service from Houston via Seattle, Anchorage and Petropavlosk to Yuzhno-Sakhanlinsk in October. But I think this will be a scheduled charter.

Magadan Airlines (Mavial) flies between Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and ANC. You can look it up on ANC's webpage.

Afay1:
I dont think Mavial operate that flight anymore, can't find any info on their website or in amadeus.

Thomas: Thanks, that was news to me. Sounds like it might be a charter for an oil/gas company. There is a lot of oil- or gasfields on Sakhalin Island, and needless to say Houston is one of the great "oil cities" of the world.

re.: Any Flights Canada-Greenland

I believe I noticed flights between YFB (Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada) and GOH (Nuuk, Greenland) a couple of years ago on a code share basis Greenlandair/FirstAir. This may still be the case for the summer season. However, neither company displays this route on its routemap now and the only way I know is to fly via KEF, Iceland or CPH, Denmark

Does Greenland Air's A330 do daily flights from Greenland to CPH? If it does, is there really 240 people going from Denmark to Copenhagen everyday?

I believe it was a 727-100 that operated for a short time.

I believe it is daily, at least in the summer. I am not certain about load factors, though they publish general statistics on their site.

Greenland Air used to fly to Ottawa until a few years ago.

Greenland Air never flew to Ottawa. First Air flew for many years from YFB to GOH with the HS-748s. First Air also flew for a few years B-727s (100 & 200) on the YOW-YFB-SFJ route. The YOW-YFB-SFJ was a code share with GL. First Air also flew on behalf of Greenlandair the SFJ-CPH route.

No, Nuuk is not jet capable at least to that extent. The First Air 727 flew Ottawa-YFB and then on to Sondrestrom (and on up to Thule on USAF contract).
Not sure what is going on now.
In the past there have been Firstair 748 and Greenlandair Dash7s from YFB to Narsarsuaq and Nuuk.

Voodoo, you are right. First Air also had a contract to operate weekly charters to Thule. Tuesdays SFJ-Thule. Wednesdays Thule-SFJ. Flights were operating as follows with the B-727s:

Tuesday: YOW-YFB-SFJ (sked) SFJ-Thule (charter)
Wednesday: Thule-SFJ (charter) SFJ-YFB-YOW (sked)

The YOW-YFB and YFB-YOW portions were sold as domestic (Flight #s 868 and 869) and the YFB-SFJ-YFB portions were sold as international (Flight #s 1868 and 1869)

A while back, Alaska Airlines had direct flights (nonstop?) from ANC to Magadan, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, and Petropavlovsk. I think that the further south cities were direct via one of the other cities. I don't remember too many details, just seeing it in a flight magazine once.
