YUL Information Needed

Mon Sep 27, 2004 11:26 pm

I've been on the Montreal airports website a few times and I haven't been able to tell if and where they have ATM machines there. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the information. Also, are they still collecting a US departure fee at Montreal that is not included in the original ticket price?

Yes, there are ATM at YUL. And, AFAIK, they are still collecting an "improvement" fee of 15$ (cdn).

Does this daylight robbery, sorry, "Improvement Fee" apply to international flights still? Each time we depart Dorval (PET) for the UK we have a row at the gate as we forget this fee! I know it's not the staff's fault, but it would be much easier to just add it to the tax for each specific applicable flight.

I haven't been through YUL for a few years, but the fee was a surprise the last time. This time I want to be ready for it. It would be a lot more convenient to have it collected as part of the ticket price. The conference I am attending in Montreal made no mention of the fee, but from what I understand it is still in force.

The improvement fee at Montreal-trudeau is now collected as part of the ticket price so no need to worry about that anymore.

I do feel a bit stupid now. I went back to the Montreal airports webpage and easily found the maps to ATMs. I must have been using the wrong browser before. Or perhaps I am aveugle...

No one collected a fee from us when we were in Montreal in June.

There is an ATM machine just as you exit to the cab stand if you turn right, just after exiting customs and immigration.

There is also an ATM on the departure level between the Transborder check in counters and the AC check in counters.....west end of the terminal next to the bureau de change.
