Is there anyone who has some info about Northwest's old hub at Seoul Kimpo (Gimpo) airport from back in the 80s and early 90s? I was just thinking about when I transferred there back in 1989, and I was curious about how many flights they operated, to what cities, and what type of planes they used. The only flights that I am aware of during some point in the 80s and 90s were:
DTW-SEL - Daily 744
LAX-SEL - Daily 747 I was on this one
SEA-SEL - Daily 747
SEL-HKG - Daily 747 I was on this one too.
NRT-SEL - Daily 332 - current route via ICN.
Did they ever operate nonstops from Seoul to MSP, JFK, HNL, or anywhere else in the US? Did they ever have many intra-Asian routes (KIX-SEL, SEL-MNL?)? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. Sorry, I guess that it would now be Inchon and the last flight would be Incheon.
