Request Info On AAL 772's N763/4/5AN

Fri Oct 01, 2004 9:37 am

Folks,

After much interweb searching I haven't managed to resolve a long-standing query regarding American A/L 772ER's N763AN, N764AN & N765AN.

C/n's quoted are :

N763AN 31480
N764AN 32439
N765AN 32879

The line numbers aren't so clear though.

N763AN 433 ?
N764AN 445 ? stated to be an error
N765AN 433 ?

Can someone resolve once and for all please?

Cheers,

RK

Hi RobK!

L/N 433 is N765AN (C/N 31480), L/N 445 is N766AN (C/N 32880)

Not sure about C/N for N763AN and N764AN but no L/N has been assigned to either. I'm also very curious why AA skipped N763AN and N764AN although these registrations are still reserved by AA for future use.

Hi Lars,

N765AN isn't 31480. N763AN is 31480 like I quoted.

Your info is extremely confusing but thanks anyway.

Can anyone answer my question please?

Cheers,

RK

The official FAA US Aircraft Register is my source, what's yours?

My source was an old JP Airline Fleets book. I guess I stand corrected; the FAA would be correct.

I also have N763AN as C/N 31480 and N764AN as C/N 32439 from the official FAA website.

I have answered your question several times so drop the attitude  Pissed

Attitude ?  Wow!

Please point out this 'attitude' ?

I asked a question, you replied with wrong (and further confusing) information, I then pointed out to you that I thought you were wrong as the official US register holds different information, you then agreed that the US register would be right and now you want some non-existant 'attitude' to be dropped?

Is this not because you've realised you've cocked up by not checking your facts first before opening your mouth and now feel stupid, especially as you run your own 777 website ???

 Smile/happy/getting dizzy

If anyone can come forward with the CORRECT line numbers I'd be grateful, thanks.

Cheers..

Theres your attitude RobK. The777man devoted his time to help you out with your question. If his findings were wrong or right, the point is he did his best. Maybe you didn’t mean to have an attitude, but it sure came across to me that way...even before the777man pointed it out. Perhaps you should reconsider the way you word things so there is no confusion.

Mike

The FAA website also shows reg that have been reserved as well as ones all ready flying. SO both people would be right.

Well Mike & Lars,

It certainly was not my intention to 'come across' as you have received and if anyone offence was taken I do apologise.

The point I was trying to make was that the info I had, had come from the FAA USCAR which is usually correct, however I have noted errors in their records in the past, hence why I asked what Lars' sources were; for example, as editor of a website solely about the B777 he might have been able to physically confirm the c/n's of said aircraft perhaps.

It wasn't intended to come across as 'well the USCAR is ALWAYS right, so whatever your sources are, they're wrong', which I suspect is where the offence was taken.

Cheers,
