If The Court Grants US Airways......

Fri Oct 01, 2004 11:48 pm

Ok, so the pilots have now negotiated what US Airways considers reasonable wage concessions for their position.(their unions still have to vote on it)
But, the machinists & the flight attendants won't negiotiate, so it looks like the bankruptcy court will decide. If the court decides in favor of US Airways to reduce wages for theses 2 groups by 23% or more, will more airlines
with what they consider "overpaid" groups hit the bankrupcty courts right away? Your thoughts.....

This is right from Frank Lorenzo's play book. If the court does approve US' request, you might see Delta try the same thing. Not much is keeping them from bankruptcy court anyways.
